Diversity & Inclusion – Human & Labor Rights:
With its long-established and diverse structure, Arkas Holding is an inclusive company that employes people of different languages, religions, races, genders, disadvantaged backgrounds, and various generations.
In this regard, our efforts include the following:
- Arkas Holding is one of 45 organizations in Türkiye that have signed the WEPs. Our HR policies focus on addressing generational and gender differences not on a gender basis but on competencies, knowledge, and skills, showcasing an egalitarian approach.
- In the new societal landscape where different generations work together, we provide awareness training to our managers through the program “The Past, Present, and Future of Generational Communication”.
- At the offices of Arkas Holding, 40% of our white-collar employees are women, with 36% in managerial positions. We aim to increase the number of women employees in all decision-making mechanisms and business processes, preserve their role in the business world, and continue to set an example.
- Arkas Holding has signed the ‘Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs)’ created in 2010 in collaboration with UN Global Compact and UN Women.
- Arkas Sports Club endeavors to encourage female athletes by engaging with their families. It offers scholarships to athletes who may not have the financial means and observes their progress, aiming to turn sports into a profession.
- Bernard Arkas, Vice President of Arkas Holding, is a member of YANINDAYIZ Association, which strives to achieve gender equality within the framework of universal human rights.
- Throughout our company and in all regions where we operate, we promote gender equality and create a work environment that supports Gender Equality in all aspects of our recruitment processes. We provide equal opportunities to all our employees in our human resources processes in both domestic and international offices.
